Seeking affirmation in all the wrong places
God's opinion of you is not circumstantial- you are loved.
One thing we all struggle with is seeking affirmation from people rather than from God. I know I have. We compare ourselves to others and if we appear to have “more” we get prideful and if we perceive we have “less” we can get angry or resentful. This is no way to live! I have been frustrated with myself many times when I am seeking others affirmation and it doesn’t come. Why would I put my trust in other people to open doors in my life that they don’t even have the keys to? Silly. Stupid. Only you know what God has put in your heart. No one else can know that. So don’t wait for others to affirm you.
Don’t chase crumbs when God has prepared a kingdom. You can’t receive more when your hands are still full of what’s less. You can’t move forward when you’re still looking backward. You can’t receive kingdoms, when you’re still settling for crumbs. Trust in God alone. He already loves you and approves of you, not based on your actions or results, but based on who He is!
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people."- Ephesians 1:18
