Receive the Free Gift
Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. Just freely receive it!
God freely gave us the biggest gift we could ever receive in his Son Jesus (John 3:16-17 and Ephesians 2:8-9) and yet many will not receive it. So instead, man created false religions that make us earn our way to God, which only enslaves us. Why?
In some ways it's human nature to feel like we need to earn something as amazing as to be loved by God. Man chose to create fake religions that make them feel better about themselves because they feel they earned their way to heaven by their own good works and good deeds. But you can never be good enough. God's word says "we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 That’s why those fake religions based on works only serve to enslave and shackle people. They are bondage because you can never be good enough to earn your way to God. You work hard to think you can earn His love, but it always leads to wondering 'did I do enough?" That's enslavement.
Instead, God already proved His immeasurable love for us when He sent us His Son Jesus to die for our sins. All we need to do is receive this life altering, eternal free gift, the greatest gift ever given, and we will be set free.. what are you waiting for? "But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”- 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
