Faith the size of a mustard seed
Is your faith strong enough to praise God before you see the answer?
"18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:18-20
Jesus taught many lessons about faith. He walked with His Disciples for 3 years, but still many times they didn't get it. Faith was found in believing in what God was going to do before they could even see it. In the scripture above, Jesus tells them that they couldn't do something they wanted to see accomplished because their faith was not worthy, He said if they only had faith "the size of a mustard seed " they could see mountains moved.
I read a great quote onetime that is important for me to remember. It says "when we thank Jesus after He has answered our prayers, that's called gratitude. When we thank Him before He has answered our prayers, that's called faith." How real is your faith today? Do you trust what you cannot yet see?
