What's Really Happening

So much confusion and deception exist on the earth right now. In order to live victoriously we must understand what's really happening at the core level. We often talk about the symptoms , like cultural and political divide, violence and evil rising, chaos and disorder everywhere. But the core issue is a spiritual one ( see Ephesians 6:12 ) lead by satan himself who is the master deceiver. He is rereferred to as many things in the Bible, but John 8:44 says it succinctly that he is the father of all lies: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." He uses lies as his weapon of choice to deceive, divide, distract and destroy and we see that all around us.

But there is really good news to report as well. As evil is rising, so is the Holy Spirit being poured out on the whole earth. Christ is orchestrating all revelations and He himself is the greatest One and the Spirit is moving on the earth to draw people’s attention to it, leading to a great awakening. There are several key areas of focus: The spiritual battle between light and darkness ( Ephesians 6:12-18 ) the promise of all things that were once hidden being revealed (Matthew 10:26 ) Acceleration towards the dramatic and climatic conclusion of human history, from Genesis to Revelation, as the “curse will be reversed,” from Genesis 3 to Revelation 22:3. God is looking for His people to be Peacemakers ( Matthew 5:9 ) and His instruments for teaching and speaking truth into a deceived world ( Jeremiah 15:19-21 ) Transformation begins in the heart and scripture in conjunction with the Holy Spirit is the path God uses to change hearts and to bring awakening to the soul. That is happening now, and in increasing measure.

 And people need to know who Jesus truly is in order to be transformed. Many souls are tired from the deception, and Jesus is awakening them to the truth. People need to be taught and instructed in the way they should go ( Proverbs 22:6 ) and that makes it possible for anyone to understand what is happening, and scripture is the backbone of that revelation. Spending time in God's presence through reading the Bible, praying, mediating, fasting and unplugging from the noise of the world long enough to hear His still, small voice is the key to successfully triumphing over the evil in the world. Anyone can do it and be victorious. But like anything, it takes discipline to make it work.
