Don't be lukewarm
You can be lukewarm about many things, but not about Jesus.
"So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth."- Revelation 3:16
The word lukewarm conjures up an indifference, a lack of enthusiasm towards something or a tepid response. Kind of like a take it or leave it attitude. God warns us in Revelation 3:16 not to have this response when we encounter Jesus.
God says that is so despicable to Him, that He will 'spit you out of his mouth." In plain english, you would be better off to have never met Jesus than to encounter Him and be lukewarm about it. It makes sense, because it shows a very prideful or even a hardened heart. How could someone encounter the Lord of Lord and the Kings of Kings, who died a gruesome death to resuce us from the penalty of our sins, and just shrug their shoulders? That indeed is a despicable reaction. You can be lukewarm about many things, but not about Jesus!
