C.S. Lewis Quotes- The Narrow Road
Take the narrow road to find true meaning and purpose
"One road leads home, and a thousand roads lead into the wilderness."- C.S. Lewis
The Bible talks often about the different paths we can take in our lives. Some paths seem filled with fanfare and much applause, but often leave us empty. The problem with false idols is they promise everything and give you nothing. Other paths look lonely and difficult, and there seems to be no pleasure on their path but often they lead to great fulfillment through finding true meaning and purpose. Matthew 7:13-14 says it this way: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
Choose wisely my friends. Jesus may not always be popular, but in the end His ways lead to life and all other roads eventually lead to destruction. Jesus is " the way, the truth and the life," according to John 14:6. God set it up this way because only His son came as the perfect Lamb of God who's blood washes us clean from the inside out. Don't listen to the noise or pay attention to the bright lights. Take the only road that leads safely to home, as C.S. Lewis encourages.
