C.S. Lewis Quotes- Spiritual Warfare is Real
Be very aware and alert!

This quote above by C.S. Lewis is alarming in it's depiction of the epic spiritual battle we are all a part of, whether we acknowledge it or not. Lewis is most likely drawing this insight from the similar narrative about the epic nature of the battle written by Paul in Ephesians 6:12-13 when he penned "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
These thoughts can be shockingly alarming, but they also serve a very high purpose, meant to prepare us rather than scare us. They directly point to our desperate need to put our faith in Christ Jesus so we can ensure our eternal standing in Heaven, versus the enemy satan's plan to lead humanity into eternal darkness and separation, a literal place call "hell" with no hope, no light and no answers. C.S. Lewis had a keen ability to capture very serious topics in a concise way that is meant to spur us into awareness leading to action without delay. The stakes are that high.
