C.S. Lewis Quotes- Seeing All Things
The Holy Spirit allows us to see all things new that were once hidden.

As we continue our study of some favorite C.S. Lewis quotes, today's is especially meaningful to me. When I 1st became a Christian at age 37 I remember thinking that I could see the world through a whole different lens. Things I had never known about suddenly came into focus. I learned about the need for forgiveness, grace and mercy because I quickly learned how I had been the recipient of these things through my faith in Christ.
I learned a new history lesson about the way God had created everything, and how He is sovereign over all things. It instantly was like watching the sunrise over the Ocean on an all-night flight to Australia, which I used to marvel at on my many business trips there from 2014-2020. I had received a new gift of discernment because I now had the Holy Spirit living in me. I had been previously spiritually blind, but now I had the Spiritual Compass of God living in me as John 14:26 alludes to: "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." It was wild, like I truly had learned about an entire parallel world that had always existed, but that I never knew about. Christianity indeed gives you the ability to see all things in a whole new light, and in a whole new way, and it is more beautiful than words can ever capture. It allows you to see things through an eternal timeframe, which greatly reduced the time pressure we feel, and reduces the stress of trying to pretend that you are in control. It is a way to see everything else through a whole new lens, as C.S. Lewis so eloquently says.
