God is looking for peacemakers on the earth right now- is that you?
I am creating a new series called The Bible For Dummies. It is not meant as a condescending title, but rather an attempt to see deep biblical truths that are easy to apply to our lives for better living in a distracted and busy world. So many people feel stressed and overwhelmed. Many people are carrying heavy wounds. Jesus can heal and restore all. He's the only one.
Jesus taught many world altering lessons in His Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5:9 He said "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Jesus put a high value on those people who sought to unite people rather than divide them. Boy do we need peacemakers right now on the earth.
Unfortunately, the media has become a tool that has been used by the enemy to deceive and divide the entire planet. Now is the time for action, to take Jesus's teaching to heart and to bring a message of unity and healing. We are truly not each other's enemies, but the media has created this division based on political affiliations and the fact that they are backed by huge companies who have a vested interest in manipulating people for their own financial gain and their affiliated political party's benefit. The news is no longer based on facts, but on opinions pushed for the very purpose of causing division through inflaming passions based on false narratives.
It is time for a new media that unites and heals rather than divides. It is time to speak life into people rather than to tear down and destroy with soul crushing agendas. God is looking for peacemakers who can begin the healing process. Could that be you?
