God's love is uniquely other worldly. It is life changing and freely available to all.
I am creating a new series called The Bible For Dummies. It is not meant as a condescending title, but rather an attempt to see deep biblical truths that are easy to apply to our lives for better living in a distracted and busy world. So many people feel stressed and overwhelmed. Many people are carrying heavy wounds. Jesus can heal and restore all. He's the only one.
1st John 4: 8 says "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." It's important we understand this as it's the single most important fact that can change our lives for good. God's love is not like human love and can be hard for us to grasp because it is other worldly, and we have very little experience to draw from in our own lives. His love is so unique compared to the love we often see demonstrated to us in our lives. His love is patient, kind and not circumstantial. His love is based on His character and not on all on our performance. His love is enduring and unending. It never holds a grudge, it never blames, it never is lorded over us and it always forgives. What kind of love is this? It is a love that only God can provide for His children and it is freely offered to any and all who will come to Him. Come and receive His love.
