Where do we turn when evil strikes?

God is our refuge in times of great peril.

Where do we turn for truth during difficult times? We need look no further than the Bible to understand the times we are living in and what is going to happen in the future. The Bible is about 30% prophecies, and is batting 1,000 % accuracy on past and future events. Jesus will return one day to rapture ( harpazzo in Greek ) His church and then all of those who deny Him will be left to live in a world of complete chaos and lawlessness that they desire. When you argue with God and His word, you lose 100% of the time. You need to change, not God. But the good news is God is in the heart transformation business and as long as there is time on the clock, it is never too late. Don't squander God's immense grace and patience. Take him up on His offer out of love to save your soul and redeem your brokenness , which leads to a transformed heart and a much happier life.

We all agree I think that we are living in perilous times. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 talks about the increase in evil as the proximity of Christ’s return draws nearer: “For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.”

But revival is also increasing as God pours out His Spirit on all people as we get closer to His return as mentioned in Joel 2:28-29 “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” i have seen this firsthand at the marvelous church I serve at. There is a revival and a passion for Christ in the Gen Z population that is remarkably powerful and hopeful.

So two things are happening at the same time that are in complete contrast to each other: evil is increasing and the Holy Spirit’s presence is increasing leading to a new and greater revival. Will you choose the winning team by laying down your pride and accepting the free gift of salvation through Christ’s mercy and grace, or will you stubbornly follow the spirit of lawlessness that is present on the earth to lead you into the abyss, where the Bible says there will be “eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth.” The choice is yours.
