Trust Him
What areas do you lack trusting God in?
There are many lessons we can learn from the journey of the Israelites as they were led out of bondage from Egypt. They wandered around the desert for 40 years for a trip that should’ve taken two weeks. Why? Because God needed to teach them many lessons, and they were very slow learners. They had to learn to trust him, to depend on him to learn from him, and to believe His promises over what their eyes could see.
But many times, just like us, they were hard hearted, obstinate, foolish, untrusting, whining complainers, and prideful. God would not relent until they learned the lessons they needed to learn before they could enter into the Promised Land. What lessons is God trying to teach you that you are making it harder than it needs to be? For me it’s always been about loosening control, and trusting Him with all areas of my life, not just the ones that are convenient for me. What about for you? God is good, and God is faithful. But he needs to teach us lessons so that we can continue to grow in our faith and trust Him more. What areas in your life are you not trusting Him in? Ask him to help you, to seek his strength, power and wisdom to lay it down. He will remove the thing that’s kept you in bondage, and provide even greater freedom than you could ever imagine. It always comes down to the same question: Do you trust him?
