Stand Firm. Be Strong. Be courageous.
Jesus warned us that in the last days, the persecution of the church would grow stronger. We are in those days.
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong"- 1 Corinthians 16;13
Persecution isn’t the enemy of the church, it’s often the refining tool God uses to separate the Lambs from the Goats, the committed from the comfortable, the on-fire believers from the lukewarm believers. The Truth of the Gospel cannot be compromised ever!
God said the persecution of the Church would increase in the last days and that many would fall away. He warned of false teachers who would come to speak falsehoods to let people feel better about themselves “and to speak what their itching ears want to hear”- 2 Timothy 4:3-4 rather than preach the truth of the Gospel that leads to repentance of sin. Stand firm is a term the Apostle Paul often used to tell us to not compromise the Gospel. This is in contrast from those who wanted to fit in rather than stand out for their faith, but Jesus warned in Revelation 3:16 that “He will spit the lukewarm believers out of his mouth.” Be strong, be courageous and stand firm in the faith!
