Total Transformation

When Christ authentically enters into anyone's life, they are transformed from the inside out.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”- 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

I think of transformation in Christ like I think of a Caterpillar becoming a Butterfly - a whole new being. Completely metaphorical in nature, old is gone and the new is here. Unrecognizable in reality like a Caterpillar becoming a Butterfly. Striving for the breakthrough- struggling in it's bondage as a Caterpillar and then in an instant bursting forth as a whole new creation, full of beauty and freedom as a Butterfly. Its impact is glorious for the short period of time that it is given. Transformation in our lives is a direct result of surrendering everything to God. He can’t give us what we’re looking for if we keep clinging tightly to what He’s asking us to release! When we do release what we cling to so tightly, in our fear, than He brings us into the freedom of the beauty that we were created to express in order to glorify Him. He alone deserves the glory!
