New Beginnings
New beginnings are a chance to reset the things that don't work anymore to make room for new things. Let's go!
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.: -Isaiah 43:18-19
The God of heaven and earth is the God of new beginnings. He is before all things and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17 ascribes this great and powerful truth and as we head into 2026 we should cling to His promises: "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
If we allow him to, He will take all of our pain and suffering and redeem it for his greater purpose. He will create streams in the desert. He’ll turn our mourning into dancing. He can turn Seas into highways and graves into gardens. He is always making all things new and one day the power of that will manifest in a way that no one can ignore it. Do you not perceive it? Do not sense it? He is coming back soon to make all things new. So as we exit the trials and tribulations of 2025, let us put our hope in new beginnings in 2026. The old has passed away. The new has come. Let’s make way for the God of the universe to speak new life into our hearts and souls. God knows, we are indeed ready for a new and fresh beginning. So 2026, let's go!
