The battle is real. We need God in order to win.

There is a spiritual battle raging in the Heavens and every single person is caught up in it.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms"- Ephesians 6:12.

According to the scripture above in Ephesians 6:12, there is a fierce spiritual battle that’s taking place whether we acknowledge it or not. It is a battle being waged for our very souls. In Galatians 5:16-17 Paul talks about the battle being between the flesh and the spirit when he says "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want."

We must understand that we have a ruthless enemy who seeks to deceive, distract, divide and destroy us. So what is the antidote for this? In order to not be deceived, we must read the word of God daily. This truth will keep us from being deceived. We must be aware that as we continue towards what the Bible refers to as the end of days, the deception of the enemy will increase, and the Bible says this will cause many to fall away from the truth of the gospel. Don’t let this happen to you. The enemy will try to distract us. He will use all kind of tactics to keep us out of the presence of God. He will use comfort, convenience, wealth, status and power to name just a few that will keep us distracted from realizing how much we need the Lord. The antidote for this is to seek alone time in the presence of God and to pray. That’s why in Matthew 6:33 it says we must seek him above all else.

The enemy wants to divide us. You can see how he’s using the media to accomplish this goal. He’s dividing us across all kinds of categories, including politics, gender, sex, race. The antidote for this is unity. Jesus said on the sermon on the Mount blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God in Matthew 5:9. We must be peacemakers in whatever situation we find ourselves in. Finally, the enemy seeks to destroy us. He literally will do anything to capture our soul, and to take us into his kingdom of darkness, which the Bible refers to as hell. It is a place of all questions and no answers, a place where you can see the glorious bright light that heaven provides, as seen in Luke 16, but you have no way to get there. It is a place of utter hopelessness. The antidote for this is to place your hope in Jesus Christ as Romans 10:9-10 says “Confess with your tongue and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and you shall be saved.”

We must realize that the battle were in is fierce and it’s raging and it’s only gonna get more intense. Our only choice is to surrender our life to Jesus he will give us the strength and the peace we need as the days get harder. Be blessed. Amen!
