No fear
God made us to "fear not." We do we need to surrender to get there?
God swallowed up death with Christ's victory over the grave. That is why the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:21 that “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” In Galatians 2:20 he said “ i have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.”
That kind of freedom of fear of death makes you bold and courageous in any situation. When you have a reverent fear of God like that, you fear no man. God has made us with eternity in mind. If we can keep our focus on that simple fact, then we can let go of and release the things that so easily bind us on earth, like fear, greed, lack and other debilitating emotions. The Apostle Paul put it this way in Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Indeed, the eternal power and purpose in our lives comes directly from God. We must surrender our fears and doubts to him. It can be dauting, but we must realize the power to do so comes to us freely through the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers. Zechariah 4:6 says "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord God wants us to live bold and courageous lives. This comes only by living for the Lord and in His strength, not letting the fear of death or anything else stop us from being warriors for Christ. Now is the time He needs us most on earth to live in power, speaking truth through love. Let's go!
