Lest we never forget the real reason for the season
Jesus is the reason for the season and the only way to find the peace, hope, purpose, and joy we all desire.
It’s Christmas Day. Our Savior is born. It’s all so miraculously precise. God’s perfect timing. God’s perfect and only restoration plan. The Infinite One became an infant. Immanuel, God with us! He had to walk in our shoes so He could draw close and so we could relate! “Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”- Hebrews 2:18
He came just in time. Then and now. His Kingdom has come and is still to come. The God who is, who was and who is to come. His first appointment on earth was as the sacrificial “lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” - John 1:29 When He next appears it will be as the Roaring Lion from the tribe of Judah where He will put an end to all corruption and suffering and injustice on the earth and restore all that was lost. All will be made new! “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”- Revelation 22:12-13
So yes, Merry Christmas! The weary world rejoices. Prophecies from long ago from Isaiah and Micah and all the Prophets have been fulfilled, just as promised, so our hearts are filled with joy, our minds with hope, and our souls are restored. Jesus is the Lord. All of Creation sings. Hallelujah!
