Bright Light
As Christians, we must always remember we are not fighting for victory, we are fighting from victory.
Jesus is the Light of the world, as John 9:5 says, and scripture talks a lot about the power of light to fully engulf the darkness. This is also the metaphor for the battle between good and evil that we are all involved in as citizens on the earth right now. Here's something important to remember when reading these verses below: We are not fighting for victory, we are fighting from victory. Jesus won the war over sin and death on the Cross. Our job is to be His light bearers on the earth until He returns.
“For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’- Acts 13:47
“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”- Romans 13:12
“But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.”- Ephesians 5:13
“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”- 1 Thessalonians 5:5
“but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”- 2 Timothy 1:10
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”- 1 Peter 2:9
God is not hiding, and many now are waking up to the reality of the two kingdom battle. The two kingdoms are colliding with greater and greater intensity. The kingdom of light is encroaching on the kingdom of darkness, and it knows its time is running short. The day is almost here, and soon night will be over. The conquering King is coming and His Kingdom is so bright that there will be no need for the Sun. “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”- Revelation 21:22-23 Hallelujah!
