Bible For Dummies 22.

I am creating a new series called The Bible For Dummies. It is not meant as a condescending title, but rather an attempt to see deep biblical truths that are easy to apply to our lives for better living in a distracted and busy world. So many people feel stressed and overwhelmed. Many people are carrying heavy wounds. Jesus can heal and restore all. He's the only one.
The Bible talks often about our need to get away to seek solitude and recharge. Jesus did this often, so if He did, how much more do we need to do this, especially in this always on, 24/7 social media fueled world. The world says busyness is a virtue, but often it leads to burnout and lack of fruitfulness. The Bible says there is much wisdom in seeking silence and solitude. The enemy of our souls satan loves the noise and chaos where emotions run high and people tend to be reactive and emotive rather than thoughtful and full of clarity. God loves the wisdom, worship and warfare that happens in the quiet places when we unplug from the grid and seek His still, small voice deep in our souls. Silence is golden and its never been more golden than today. We don't have to let the world drag us into the anxiety and noise of the media fueled chaos. We can choose peace and restoration, which brings clarity, through alone time in the presence of our Lord & Savior.
