Washing Feet
If you had only a few hours to live, would you focus on washing other's feet? Jesus did.
"The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him."- John 13:2-5
Imagine you have a few hours to live and your focus is on such radical love as to wash your disciples feet. What kind of love He has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! Thank you Jesus for your obedience to the Father to pay our sin tab in full on the cross by enduring such pain and suffering. We humbly say thank you 🙏. We can never fully comprehend the pain you endured to rescue us, but our only response is to glorify your name as best as we can with our lives.
