Searing truth that leads to revival
God is calling us to the last, great revival
The American church has been weakened by its own apathy. In many cases, the church has substituted comfort and complacency for conviction, they have substituted reassurance for repentance. They have tried to fit in rather than to stand out. Thus, many churches are wide and shallow, instead of narrow and deep, having lost the power that comes from the true gospel. We have switched from pleasing the king to pleasing the crowd. The light of a city on a hill has been dragged down into the valley of cultural acceptance, and thus been stripped of all of its power.. False teachers preach a crown without a cross. There is a cost in following Jesus, but the cost of rejecting him is much higher. We need revival based on the searing truth of the real Gospel. When it is rightly preached, the Holy Spirit does all the needed work in people's souls.
