Ask Him
Always be seeking, always be asking.
We should always ask questions as part of any learning process we embark on, but this is especially true when it comes to our relationship with the Triune God of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Many people let their lack of understanding or fear of approaching God paralyze them in fear. But Jesus himself often invites us to ask questions and to seek Him in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 6:33, and in the Old Testament Jeremiah 29:13, Zephaniah 2:3 and Deuteronomy 4:29.and many other places. We should take hm up on that offer ever chance we get. When we don't understand, we can ask Lord, what are you trying to teach me? When we go through seasons of doubt in our faith, we can ask Lord, please help me to know you more and trust in you more deeply. Jesus show me where you want to lead me has been a question on my heart for a few years. Jesus help me, Jesus teach me, Jesus guide me, Jesus strengthen me should all be common positions of our hearts.
Then, we should remember to not look to other sources for our answers but to go directly to Jesus himself, as he says in Matthew 11:28 " come to me, all you who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest." God invites us in Matthew 7:7 to "ask, seek and knock," and we should definitely take Him up on His offer. He is a personal God and He loves us so much that He invites us into a two-way communication thread to help us grown, and to strengthen us in our journey. Let's bring it all to Him like a little child would to their parents. Jesus, hear our prayers!
