Money Trap
Money is important, but it can't buy you eternity in Heaven!
The money trap is one of satan's common strategies to lead the whole world astray, as it says he'll do in Revelation 12:9. He uses money as a means of tempting us to put our security in money rather in God, because he knows money is something deeply alluring. It can provide temporary comfort and power, and make us feel good about our earhly lives in terms of success and recognition.
In Matthew 4:8-10 we see satan trying to trap Jesus using wealth and power as a means to have Him turn away from His godly assignment. Of course Jesus denies satan. But it's scary that satan still uses this same strategy today in capturing lost souls for eternity. In a heartbeat our earthly lives will be over, and only those who put their trust in Jesus will have true security. "Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only." Be sure you look to Jesus to find true secuirty, not in money which is used by the enemy to deceive the masses.
