Lessons from King David for daily application

King David penned approximately 75 of the 150 Psalms found in the Bible. They are loaded with wisdom for everyday life. Let's look at some of them for pulling out that wisdom and applying it to our lives.

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”

We need to seek God in order to find God. Proximity to God through meditation on His word found in the Bible leads to a security and ultimately to an abundant existence as we rely on Him and not the treacherous path of the sinful, rebellious mockers of God.
