Can you imagine what it will be like to meet Jesus face to face?
As we continue to consider how song lyrics can uplift our spirit and move us emotionally, today let's consider the song I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me. This song is a song of awe and wonder about what it will be like to see Jesus face to face for the 1st time in Heaven. We get a glimpse of this directly from Scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:12 when it says "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."
Wow, what an exciting prospect for us to consider. But Mercy Me's lyrics are equally riveting when it anticipates what it will be like when it says, "I can only imagine
